Building, Brick & Stone Cleaning Case Study - The Oxfordshire Golf Club
Client Details
The Oxfordshire Golf Club
Building, Brick & Stone Cleaning WORK CARRIED OUT
External stone & building clean
BENEFITS TO OUR CLIENT
We conducted a test clean to some heavily stained coping stones, which the client was very happy with. They then asked us to perform the building clean. We used superheated steam for the brick and stone cleaning, removing 25 years’ worth of dirt and biological growth on the stone and brickwork to the clubhouse and main entrance. The benefits are that the building has now been restored to its former glory. This will extend the life of the building and will have a positive effect on current and future value.
ANY HURDLES?
Being a very busy golf club, the public had to be kept away from the cleaning. We utilised suitable safety barriers and had a constant Ryemead Banksman ensuring that the public were kept at a safe distance. We also utilised a specialist MEWPS (cherry picker) on site, which we had to cordon off from the public. We are Safe Contractor and ISO 9001 certified, ensuring that all access equipment is fully certificated, and all operatives are fully trained to carry out the works in hand. There is always a Ryemead Manager on site who is IOSH trained to coordinate works on the day.
